Ladies Retreat at Montrose Bible Conference

Promising to be another great time of praise and fellowship, the Retreat at Montrose Bible Conference is being held October 17-19.  Everyone attending last year's event spoke about what a great time it was to get to know everyone, and for learning!  But you must sign up as soon as possible.  Only the Torrey Lodge has space at this time, or in the motel.  If interested in attending please contact Elaine Lafler at 315-568-9721.  Registration fee is $35.00.

REVIVAL 2008 - 2008 Family Enrichment Services

The 2008 Family Enrichment Services is just around the corner.  Save the dates of September 13 through September 17.  Pastor Bud Yoder will again be our guest speaker.  His unique background and experience, combined with a straight-shooting presentation, it's bound to be an experience you won't want to miss.  Joining Pastor Bud for a second year is Yul Holloway, an inspirational and dynamic singing sensation!  Click here to see detail on the whole Family Enrichment Services.

Banner Contest

WOW!  What a great opportunity to show off your artistic talent.  We are looking for new banners to be located up on the stage in the sanctuary.  We would like to be able to change out banners for different occasions.  So if you or your small group has an idea for some banners step up and contact Rosie O'Connor for detail.  Winners will be announced at the Family Enrichment Services in early September.

Food Pantry

Jesus said - "You give them something to eat". (Luke 9:13)

Let's not forget the Food Pantry!  Items donated are used for families less fortunate then us and can make a difference to a child or elderly person.  This food is distribution in our local community by LCCC.  Stock on hand permits us to respond quickly to our own family's needs when necessary.  Questions about the Food Pantry can be directed to any one of the following.  Bonnie Root or Corinne Coutlee. 

This past week two families received food from the Food Pantry at LCCC.  The rising cost of gas and food has placed a strain on everyone.  The LCCC Food Pantry is getting low and needs your help.  Please considering bringing 1-2 item per week in when you come to Sunday service.

This month's need includes; spaghetti sauce, canned fruits, and vegetables.

Prayer Focus

This week's Prayer Focus is for "Prayers for college students heading back to school."

Youth Group News
The Youth Group is collecting cans and bottles to help fund their trips and activities.  Please bring your returnables to the crib in the foyer of the church..

Anyone interested in joining a small Bible Study in a home, please place your name on the back of a visitor card, and place it in the offering plate, or give it to an usher on the way out.
