"When We Make Bad Choices" (I Samuel 13)
Originally Delivered: May 17, 2009
Message Length: 30 min.
Abstract - Today's message is a continuation of last week's message (Woman of God 0917), but where last week might have focused on ladies this week is a focus for everyone.  An old saying is "It's not what happens that defines a person but how they recover from it that does".  This speaks at the heart of "situational ethics".  In last week's message we saw how Ruth appeared to have a difficult life but still stayed true to her friend, and ultimately was awarded for her faith.  This week we see how when given almost the same situation two different kings respond  to God's direction.  One received the Lords guidance while the other rejected it, and suffered for that choice.  Our life will be filled with situational opportunities.  If we walk spiritually closer with God we can count on him to help us make the right choice.  Are you up to the challenge?
