Abstract - A church from humble beginnings, LCCC has grown due to its people stepping in time of need.  Pastor Don uses the story of Nehemiah as a reference of someone who was willing to step outside of his comfort zone and take on God's will.  Sometimes stepping out causes discomfort, like when Nehemiah received his critics and even death threats.  Nehemiah is an example of strength for us as he kept his faith and spiritual strength even during the tough times.  Are you growing to be a Nehemiah?

Nehemiah had a comfortable life.

He did not receive a call from God like Moses, Isaiah, Gideon

He heard of the need.

Some time it is harder to rebuild, to start over 

Nehemiah 2 he ask the king if he could go and rebuild.

He was not a contractor

He was not a structural engineer

He was willing to step out of his comfort zone.

Nehemiah 3 the people worked together.

Nehemiah 4 the critics began.

Vs. 12 the threats.

Vs. 13 Worked with a sword in one hand
