| "Queen Esther" (Esther 4:9-17) | ||

| Abstract -
Esther started as "eye candy" for King Xerxes after he had his first wife Queen Vashti done away with for not obeying him. Being of God, she was able to capitalize on her position with the king when called upon to save her people, the Jews, from certain death. Her success was based on providing respect to the king as she worked a plan to request that he intercede to save her people. Esther first took the matter up in prayer, also requesting that all her people do the same. Eventually the king saved her people and she was rewarded by becoming the new queen. |
