Abstract - Pastor Don is back home with family tending to the death of his brother.  Elder Steve Vlasak fills in delivering today's message entitled "Praising God During Tough Times".  It's Christmas time, the time of giving and joy.  The theme is giving praise even when times are tough, and he backs it up with three reasons you want to give God praise during tough times.  Put things into perspective and realize that in every trial there is a lesson to be learned that we can praise God about.  This is a message of joy for a joyous season.
 

Introduction -

I Thessalonians 5: 16-18
“Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.”
 

Three reasons for praising God during tough times.

  1. Praising God during tough times lifts burdens from our shoulders.

  2. Praising God during tough times provides us with an opportunity to receive greater blessings.

  3. God provides us with greater strength when we praise him during tough times.

Conclusion -
The time to praise God is everyday.  Adjust your attitude and see the good in the bad times.  We learn more when things go wrong then when they go right.  Praise God for those bad times too.

Christmas is a time of giving to one another.  How about giving God a praise, and know he will have a big smile for it.
