| Abstract - Lake Country Christian Church is located in Waterloo, NY, the birthplace for Memorial Day. We are fortunate that the town still has deep roots in its Christian belief and in patriotism for its US fallen soldiers. In today's message Pastor Don uses Jesus' time in the desert as an example of the future thinking that the founders of Memorial Day must have had. Jesus used this time to plan His ministry, and to understand that there will be time of testing during this ministry. Likewise, the Memorial Day founders would have to have understood that there would be test to the foundational structure of this day. But like Jesus, they, and us, need to stick with our foundational beliefs even during difficult times. | ||
