"Few Good Men & Women" (Matthew 13:1-8 & 18-23)
Originally Delivered: January 15, 2012
Message Length: 31 min.
Abstract - On a Sunday morning that is very cold outside in upstate New York, the congregation has some regulars missing.  But the message is ready and those in attendance are ready to receive.

A path starts out nice and green and over time gets trampled down; sometimes into a rut.  We need to cultivate with God’s sweet word and fellowship.  If in a rocky place; learn the joy of serving.  There is joy in working for the Lord.  Plow out those weeds in your life, stretch out of your comfort zone; make new commitments.  When we are growing in our walk with God it is like a tree that will produce what can be seen.  It is a continual growth process.

Introduction -

There is always a bottom line –
   • Don’t tell me how pretty your tractor is – How many bushels per acre?
   • Don’t tell me how dangerous coal mining is – How many tons of coal per man?
   • Don’t tell me how you started a business – What are your sales?
   • Don’t tell me about your latest computer accomplishments –Tell me what you accomplished.

Seems to be the subject of the sower's parable.

But in the teachings of Jesus he breaks it down, analyzing the whys of producing more Christians accomplishing. Matthew 28:18-20

How the cultivate your heart for a Spiritual Harvest. This is important to Jesus.
