"Faithful To The End" (John 6: 68-69)

Abstract - We all have those moments when we are at a point where we think we can't or don't want to go any further - we've had enough!  The question is "What do you do then?"  Do you have what it takes to carry on when it seems like you are all alone?  When everyone was leaving Jesus because his teachings were too tough, Jesus asked his disciples "What about you?"  Peter's response in verse 69 is the same answer we need to remember when being a Christian seems too hard and we want to quit.

What do you do when the pieces don’t fit?

#I         Vs. 60 -65

Being faithful when it doesn’t make sense and He doesn’t take time to explain it and you might never be able to reason it out accept to follow for now.

#II        The question we must all answer Vs. 66

a.       In every Christians life come an incident will come up where you have to decide do I keep following or not.

b.      Poem “IF”

c.       All they wanted from Jesus was to serve them as they wanted Him to, when He did not they walked away from Him.

d.      Their decision didn’t deter Jesus.

e.       Their decision didn’t influence the apostles.

#II        Peter had the answer Vs. 68 & 69

a.       That is what I hang all my faith upon.

Conclusion:

a.       There was defection.

b.      There was deterioration.

c.       There was DETERMINATION.
