Message Outline Introduction: The word “Blessed” means to be “Happy” #I. Verse 3 Blessed “Happy” are the poor in spirit for theirs is the kingdom of God. a. John 16:22 b. Luke 18: 9-14 c. John 12:2&3 #II. Verse 4 Blessed “Happy” are those that mourn, for they will be comforted. a. John 11:23&24 b. John11:25 #III. Verse 5. Blessed “Happy” are the meek for they will inherit the earth. (sound booth wait until I give the definition) a. Meek definition means “Haltered” b. Former Dallas football coach Tom Landry has a slogan “ The quality of a persons life is in direct proportion to his commitment to excellence” #IV. Verse 6. Blessed “Happy” are those that hunger and thrust for righteousness for they will be filled. a. Righteousness means a relationship with Jesus Christ. b. To have a relationship you have to put time in together. c. Righteousness: Positive faith producing people who are actively pursuing a God given dream. #V. Blessed are the merciful for they will receive mercy: a. Mercy is that step beyond forgiveness. Conclusion: #1. The Promise is joy. #2. The Principle is God for wisdom and blessings. #3. The Problem is unholy pride that holds people back. #4. The Joy comes from surrender to Gods will. |
