0923- "Blessings" (Genesis 27:1-4) Currently Available Online Today's message was delivered on Father's Day 2009, and therefore its theme is based on what a blessing being a father is. Pastor Don uses four passages around Jacob being a blessing to Isaac, and how fathers can be a great dad and example for their family. Starting with the importance of touch, having a message of affection, showing high value, and providing a example by planting seeds for your child's future.

Even during the difficult times God is there to help you through. All you need to do is call on Him. 0925- "Eternal Life - What Is The Next Life Like?" (Luke 16:19-31) Currently Available Online Pastor Don speaks the story of Lazarus and the rich man in an effort to illustrate the contrast between heaven and hell. It is easy to get lost in the world when on earth we seem to have it all, often ignoring or not seeing those less fortunate than us. God wants us to take care of those less fortunate and watches how we do at it. Be careful, what you experience on earth may be opposite that you eternal reward! Are you helping your fellow man?

Often we have an extreme experience and it becomes the source of our faith. Pastor Don reminds us that the source of our faith needs to be God's Word, the Bible. 0927- "A Message From Acts" (Acts) Currently Available Online At Lake Country Christian Church the future of our church is our young people. Two times a year our teens conduct a full service including the delivery of a message. Today's message is being delivered by Ryan Beer, one of our teens. Ryan's unique delivery of today's message is superseded only by his passion for Jesus. Ryan uses the story of the stoning of Stephen, the conversion of Saul, and the commanding of Ananias to step out in faith to demonstrate how God uses ordinary people to do his work, and that even the worse can be convicted and converted. 0928- "Who Is Your Hero?" (Philippians2:12) Currently Available Online In today's message Pastor Don focuses on salvation and how it is important to you. He list all the things salvation is to you and how it is important, not only to you, but to God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, and to the angels. Pastor Don then follows up with the question "Who Is Your Hero?" It is only you that can obtain salvation for yourself. Are you getting your salvation?

The best professionals on anything will tell you that preparation is instrumental to success. The same can be said to gaining faith and salvation. Pastor Don provides detail on how t properly prepare spiritually and mentally for receiving God's Word. Next - it's all about the application of that preparation. "Plan the work - Work the plan". Being prepared is of no value if you do not apply to the task. Finally, Pastor Don reveals three passages that show how these two items are a reflection of your faith. 0930- "Things That Accompany Salvation" (Matthew 7:21-23 Currently Available Online Pastor Kennedy is delivering a series of messages designed to transition us out of 2009's theme of "Personal Spiritual Growth" (stepping out of the box), into the theme yet to be officially announced for 2010. While not officially released we know 2010 will have us personally stepping even further out to reach those in or local community in the name of Jesus. Today's message starts us thinking by introducing the fact that with God we have nothing to fear. As stated many times we all have at least one talent that God is just waiting to see us use for him. Many say that we are "living in the last days". The Bible states that in the last days people's hearts will grow cold. Signing on as a Christian means we also signed up to do God's will, and that entails serving those around us. Ask yourself, "What can I do as a Christian to help people around me in a way that delivers a message that it is from God?"
0931- "Faith & Hope" (I Corinthians 13:13) Currently Available Online Pastor Don starts a series of messages with this one on Faith and Hope. Have you ever wanted to do something that was so big you knew God would have to be part of it? He uses the story of the Zarephath Widow to demonstrate both these virtues. Note that even though the widow had nothing she obeyed Elijah and gave him, on faith, what she had. She also did not allow herself to dwell on negative thinking. If we are to be successful in what we want to accomplish in the Lord's name we must have faith and demonstrate Hope. Listen on . . . 0932- "Love Came Down" (John 4:1-42) Currently Available Online Today's message is about God's love, and what a great message it is. Pastor Don speaks about God's love being patient, forgiving, universal, and restoring. Who has not had a time when God's love has mended a difficult point in our life. 0933- "Prince of Peace" (Isaiah 9:6) Currently Available Online The first sentence of the outline below is a startling truth. Today's message is a continuation of last week's message about God's love. Using the story of David and Goliath, Pastor Don introduces that some things are worth fighting for. However, we often make more out of our fears (and challenges) than what they really are. When facing what appears to be insurmountable odds stop and remember that if what you are involved with is God's will then you can know God is on your side, and he has never ending resources to see you through your experience. Not accounting for God's help often causes us to give up in our struggle too early, therefore never securing the goal. When facing challenges others around you become encouraged and inspired. Remember you can win, but you must complete the battle. Are you ready?
