0903- "A Sacrifice Without Cost Is Worthless" (I Corinthians 24:24)  Archived

Continuing with his theme of changing your lifestyle in 2009 for the purpose of personal spiritual growth, Elder Steve Vlasak points out that this will require sacrifice, and that sacrifice will have a cost if it is worth making.  In I Corinthians 24:24, We see where King David refused to accept the threshing ground without paying for it, else it would not represent a worthy sacrifice to God.  Many things in life are the same way.  The message starts with an understanding how King David got into the position of needing this ground in the first place, and concluded how he repented of his sin and did the right thing.  Are you ready to make sacrifices in your Spiritual Growth program for 2009?

0904- "In The Grip Of Fear" (Psalms 46)  Archived

Today's message is delivered by Ed Windhausen. Are you ever frozen in fear? Ed's message speaks of how God is our sanctuary and we have no reason to fear what life has for us. Additionally, he points out that satin has no power over us, if we only look to Him for guidance.

0905- "Who I Was - Who I Am" (Acts 26)  Archived

Continuing with the LCCC 2009 theme of "Personal Spiritual Growth", pastor Don delivers a message about having a testimony.  But having a testimony is one of those things all Christians acquire as they develop in their spiritual life.  Many times they don't know what it is because they fail to write it down.  Testimonies do not have to be long.  They can be as simple as "This is who I once was, but this is who I am now."  Pastor Don uses a part of Apostle Paul's life from Acts to provide four simple points of how powerful a testimony is.

Do you have your testimony written down?  If not, maybe this is a way you can have Personal Spiritual Growth this week!!!!

0906- "A Royal Priesthood" (I Peter 2: 9)  Archived

Do you realize how dangerous you can be as a Christian?!! In today's message Pastor Don points out that Christians are called to be examples of Christ, and are in a sense called to be a Royal Priesthood. Our example of this is I Peter 2: 9. And as such when we are not at out best we can be very dangerous. Pastor Don goes on to point out that we are special only because of of Jesus. But realize that you can stand tall and do well as a Royal Priest through the power of God. This message is again proof that you can step outside your comfort zone!

0907- "God's Definition Of Love" (II Corinthians 13:1-13)  Archived

In today's message Pastor Don speaks about Love.  He identifies 12 points of what love is and is not.   Ever wonder how someone as smart as Thomas Edison viewed love?  A teacher gave out a class assignment on "How do you say I love you in 25 words or less?"  How would you answer this assignment?

0908- "How Satan Attacks You" (I Peter 2: 9)  Archived

As Christians we can expect to be, and are continuously, under attack by Satan.  In today's Message Pastor Don discuss how Satan attacks us in order to weaken and discourage us in our walk and growth with Christ.  Satan will use grumbling to bring you down, finances to discourage you from tithing, keep you from receiving the joy of Christian fellowship, and will give you all kinds of obstacles to keep you from being close to God.  Pastor Don's concluding point is to "Resist Satan and he will flee from you."

0909- "Being A Mountain Mover In Prayer" (Acts 6: 3-6)  Archived

This is the first of four "Being A Mountain Mover" messages (messages 0909 - 0912) being delivered by Pastor Don during the month of  March 2009.  He points out that there is a "mountain" of proof, both in the secular and in our Christian world that prayer has tremendous power.  It is largely understood that worship and prayer bonds God's people, and without fail we run to prayer to lift up our burdens and the burdens of our loved ones.  Prayer is a vital part of our personal spiritual growth, and we find ourselves in deeper prayer as we grow spiritually.  Prayer takes our abilities to another level, and it takes our abilities to another level.  How is your prayer life?  Listen in and see how you can develop your prayer life.

0910- "Gather to Gather" (Hebrews 10: 19-39)  Archived

This is the second of four "Being A Mountain Mover" messages (messages 0909 - 0912) being delivered by Pastor Don during the month of   March 2009.  Today's message deals with church attendance.  We can not effectively Spiritually grow without mentoring from other Christians.  And it is in your local church that you find Spiritually advanced Christians.  We all need Spiritual encouragement, and someone we can go to in order to find answers to the growing number of questions we discover as we Spiritually grow.  Being close to other Christians helps us get closer to God, thus "Gather to Gather".

0911- "Marching Orders" (Matthew 28:18-20)  Archived

This is the third of four "Being A Mountain Mover" messages (messages 0909 - 0912) being delivered by Pastor Don during the month of   March 2009.  Today's message is focused on inviting others to church.  Again, one of those messages that require you to step outside of the box.  Per last week's message, to grow Spiritually you must be with other Christians.  For the unsaved they must first be invited to your local church to meet other Christians.  Jesus' last words to His disciples was the "Great Commission" - go and make disciples of men.  Did you know that 75% of people asked say they would go to church if asked?  God calls on you to heed the Great Commission, thus today's message title "Marching Orders".

0912- "Creating A Trust Fund With God" ()  Archived

Why does the church ask for my money?  The key word in this question is the word "my".  The Lord gave you this money to use as you see fit, only asking for 10% of it in return to help the local church spread His word.  Many people state "I can't give because I don't have enough".  The Lord takes care of the birds of the air, most with beautiful color.  How much more will he do to take care of the ones he sent His only son to die for?  This year we are working to grow our personal spiritual faith.  Take a step, grow in your spiritual faith, and trust that the Lord will take care of you.
