0821- "Life Is A Choice" (Abraham & Lot) (Genesis 13: 1-13) Archived We make decisions (choices) every day of our life. When making a choice do we understand there will be either a reward or a consequence to that decision? In today's message Pastor Don uses an illustration contrasting Abraham and Lot. Lot's choices were not made with God in mind, and consequently his decisions cost him a somewhat disappointing life. Where Abraham strived to have God's will in his life and in his decisions. If we have neglected God's will in our decisions and our life, is it too late to make that change?
0822- "Prodigal Son’s Father" (Luke 15: 11-32) Archived This message was delivered on Fathers Day, 2008, and focuses on what makes a good father. Using the story of the prodigal son, Pastor Don points out that a true father is a father under all circumstances. He understands that his children will leave home sometime, but he always has joy when they return. Through his love for his children a father has respect for everyone. When required he shows mercy, emotion, maturity, and forgiveness. As the message unfolds think about how much of this is set as an example by God.

But as Pastor Don points out, it is our family that provides us with continuity to our past, and to who we are. In today's message he uses the story of Jacob and his father-in-law Laban to illustrate some of the difficult challenges a family brings in life, including deceit, control issues, guilt, and many more. But even those who are dedicated to our church often never look for and attend a local church where we are vacationing.
