1010- "Empty Promises" (Luke 24:1-12)  Currently Available Online

I consider this one of the most unique messages Pastor Don ever delivered.  As we get closer to Easter 2010 today's message identifies the "empty" promises made from the Cross, tomb, and burial cloth.  In a play-on-words he drives home the real promise that Jesus has for us by looking back at things left empty.  So set back and enjoy an uplifting, inspiring, really great message.

1011- "The Word Of Our God Stands" (Isaiah 40:8)  Currently Available Online

As a great follow up message for last week's "Empty Promises", this week pastor Don drives home what a great God we have.  Have you ever been emotionally high and then within a moment are emotionally in the gutter?  Pastor Don explains how emotions and feelings are temporary at best, though it is hard to realize when we are under their influence.  If you think you have experienced emotional highs and lows wait until you hear a description of what the disciples went through at this time of the year (Palm Sunday).  This is a great message to help you put your emotional swings into perspective.

1012- "After The Resurrection" (John 21:1-6)  Currently Available Online

It's the week after Easter 2010 and Pastor Don has a message that provides a message on the influence you have on the ones around you, and how critical it is to provide that right influence.  As a comparison he speaks about the influence of Peter on the Disciples against the influence of Jesus.  He wraps up this message by identifying lessons we can take heart into that will enable us to be a better influence on those around us.

1013- "Peace Makers" (Matthew 5:9)  Currently Available Online

What are the qualities of a Peace Maker?  What does it take to have Spiritual and Mental preparation when being a Peace Maker?  What are the Spiritual qualities, and how does one prepare to receive them?  Pastor Don concludes today's message on Peace Makers by explaining how the word Shalom may be a part of its start.

1014- "Faith - As Spoken By A Teen"  Currently Available Online

Ryan Beer, one of our most energetic teens, along with the rest of our "growing in faith" teen group conduct a complete service a couple times a year.  Today is the latest installment of this great program.  The only thing that could be better than hearing today's great message on faith is being there in person to receive it.  Ryan uses his typical energetic way to drive home the point that" all it takes is having faith".  If you don't go away with a new outlook on faith and with excitement to show and talk about it after listening to today's message you may need CPR!

1015- "I Can Do All Things Through Him Who Gives Me Strength" (I Kings 18: & 19:)  Currently Available Online

After a fantastic message by our teen Ryan Beer (a preacher in the making), pastor Don is back with a message on how it is that you too can do great things when you call on the Lord.  He uses the story of Elijah to drive home the point.  What is it God has for you?

1016- "A Life To Create" (Ephesians 5:15-20)  Currently Available Online

What happens when you make a decision?  How do decisions affect your life?  Pastor Don points out that the choices we make - make up our life.  If we listen to God our decisions bring us closer to Him.  Pastor Don uses an illustration of filling your house, and that of a "natural" and "spiritual" vacuum.  How are you going to fill that vacuum?

1017- "Thank The Forefather of Waterloo NY For Memorial Day" (Matthew 4:1-11)  Currently Available Online

Lake Country Christian Church is located in Waterloo, NY, the birthplace for Memorial Day.  We are fortunate that the town still has deep roots in its Christian belief and in patriotism for its US fallen soldiers.  In today's message Pastor Don uses Jesus' time in the desert as an example of the future thinking that the founders of Memorial Day must have had.  Jesus used this time to plan His ministry, and to understand that there will be time of testing during this  ministry.  Likewise, the Memorial Day founders would have to have understood that there would be test to the foundational structure of this day.  But like Jesus, they, and us, need to stick with our foundational beliefs even during difficult times.

1018- "26 Words" (John 3:16)  Currently Available Online

Pastor Don admits this is his first message directly on John 3:16.  As a first step in our Christian walk this is the verse we typically first learn.

Which of you as a parent would deny forgiveness of your child when requested?  In this question your act of forgiveness is in response to the request.  In the case of God he sent his Son as atonement prior to your asking.  Now that is love at it's grandest!

In this passage of John 3:16, and in today's message, we see how God showed us His "Greatest Love", freely gave His "Greatest Gift", demonstrated His "Greatest Faith", and gave us the "Greatest Life", eternal life.
