- "In The Last Days" (II Peter 3: 1-15) Archived It seems we all have an interest in knowing what the last days will be like. For many there is a fear of how close are they? Or, what do I need to do to be prepared for them? In this message Pastor Don speaks about the fact that there are scoffers who say there is no hope, and why has He taken so long to come back? The Lord's return is a guarantee. But He loves His creation so much that he is giving everyone a chance to find their way to heaven through His son Jesus Christ. Finally, Pastor Don address the questions of how we should live our lives in order to be under God's grace.
- "Ten Points of a Healthy Church" (Acts 2: 42-47) Archived Have you ever wondered why some churches grow to be 500 or even 5,000 people in size while others don't grow at all, or in some cases end up closing their doors all together? In this message Pastor Don identifies ten points found in any successful church. There is no magic, every point is biblical!
- "You Need To Let Go For The Lord" (Luke 12: 13-21) Archived In Luke 12, Jesus speaks about greed, using a parable about the Rich Fool as an example. Many think of greed having only to do with money. In today's message, Steve Vlasak (Elder) identifies that greed has to do with anything that consumes your thinking or gets in the way of your pursuing a developing relationship with the Lord. He suggest that every so often you need to take inventory of the items in your life that "control you" and get rid of them! (Note: For a different point of view on this Bible passage see and listen to "Thou Shall Have No Other Gods Before Me".)
- "Training For Reigning With Christ" (II Corinthians 8:) Archived This message was delivered by Pastor Don at his return from a ten day mission trip to the Dominion Republic. The first half of this message is Pastor Don, his wife Marge, and granddaughter Christie speaking about their experience in the Dominion Republic. The second half of the message Pastor Don speaks about preparation to reign with Christ. Athletes continually train to be the best at what they do, as should Christians train in preparation to be with Christ. The central theme of this message is "giving", but not necessarily the type of giving you may think of.
- "Thou Shall Have No Other Gods Before Me" (Luke 12:) Archived This message starts a short series on financing (see Serving The Savior and Life On Loan), and provides a biblical connection with our personal focus on what we store up here on earth as oppose to what we should be storing up in heaven. A central theme to this message is how the rich man is "foolish", believing in his own pride, selfishness, and a belief that money in the bank equates to long life.
- "Serving The Savior" (Matthew 25:14-30) Archived This message is the second in a series on giving to the Lord (see Thou Shall Have No Other Gods Before Me and Life On Loan). Its focus is on talents, equally important to money as far as being a tithe to the church. Everyone has a talent of some kind. God expects these talents to be used for the forwarding of His kingdom. And God excepts no excuses for you not using these talents! Pastor Don introduces that your commitment and use of these talents is a measure of your faithfulness, and that only time is a true measure of that faithfulness.
- "Life On Loan" (Luke 12:15) Archived This message is the third in a series on giving to the Lord. (see Serving The Savior, and Thou Shall Have No Other Gods Before Me) In today's message Pastor Don speaks about the importance of doing what you do for the Lord as good as possible. Also, be sure that you give thanks for serving the Lord and that everyone around you knows that what you do is for the Lord. Pastor Don spends time articulating that God's word, the Holy Bible, equips us with everything we need to do God's good work. He concludes with identifying two things that will last forever, no mater who you are, God's word, and a man's soul.
- "Prayer Power" (John 17:1-26) Archived Prayer - perhaps one of the most under rated tools we have with God. In this message Pastor Don points out that as God's creation we need to communicate with him, through prayer, on a daily basis. Prayer "keeps us on the road". Pastor Don goes on to identify several "protections" provided by prayer, in addition to identifying things that can get in the way of our prayer time.
- "Enter His Gates" (John 13:1-17) Archived Many people think God as a hard discipliner with little to no joy. As Pastor Don points out in this message, with much humor, that this is the farthest from the truth. This myth is easily put aside as Pastor Don identifies several celebrations handed down by God to the Jews during the old testament times. He points out that there is a right time, a right way, a right attitude, and a right reason to celebrate.
- "We are the Champions" (John 12:12-19) Archived Many people think God as a hard discipliner with little or no joy. As Pastor Don points out in this Palm Sunday message, with much humor, that this is the farthest from the truth. This myth is easily put aside as Pastor Don identifies several celebrations handed down by God to the Jews during old testament times. He points out that there is a right time, a right way, a right attitude, and a right reason to celebrate.
