Prayer without ceasing:
Prayer can be like exercise everyone knows the benefit but it takes time
to do it.
No one has time to pray, you have to take time away from other things that
are
valuable, to understand the importance and power of prayer. There can be
outside motivating factors that bring prayer up the list of important
items in our life. News
that a friend has received bad news in life or health can elevate the
importance of prayer. A session with your doctor as he sets across from
you and gives the serious talk. But, the scriptures are filled with words
like an advertisement that yell out PRAY, PRAY, PRAY. When, prayer becomes
a priority in our lives, like exercise the benefits are noticed. |

In prayer we get into union with God’s view. When we pray for others it
changes our outlook of others. Matthew 5:44 & 45 But I tell you; love your
enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be sons of your
Father who is in heaven…. Matthew 6: 12 forgive us our debts (sins) as we
also have forgiven debtors (others) That view releases the pain or hurt
because we now come to God’s view of other people. In prayer we can
influence God, others and ourselves.
A Sunday morning prayer ministry has begun. Steven Wills leads that
ministry. They meet from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM before church in the library
room. They prayer especially for twenty different items that have to do with
Sunday events. They pray for our getting up and safety getting to church; to
your witnessing after church, with many important activities in between
those events. If you would like to be part of this important ministry please
see Steven or call the church office.
Pray without ceasing. |
