Sunday Night Services -  Starting Again October 2^nd at 6:00PM

Sunday night services start October 1.  There is a session for every age group.

• Adults - Review of The Screwtape Letters from C.S. Lewis.  Steve Vlasak moderates.

• Young Adults - Don Kennedy has a program specific to cults, what are they and how to recognize one.

• Teens - A new program called Answers, written by Ken Ham.  See the Teen page for more detail.

• Kids Klub PM - Kids from age K up to teens.  This year has a new program entitled "Discovering God's Love".

• Nursery - We have an open nursery so you can enjoy one of the above programs.

2012 Valentines Dinner
On Saturday, February 11th, plan on being at the church on Swift street Waterloo for our 2012 Valentines dinner.  This year's dinner is being catered in.  Immediately following the dinner and all of its fun we will be viewing the movie Courageous.  If you have not seen this movie yet you will want to be here for this screening.  Contact the church for more details and to sign up for the dinner.  Bring a friend!

LCCC Now Uses Attendance Folders!

Recently you may have noticed that when entering a row the first chair of that row will have an Attendance Folder laying on it.  Please take a moment when you set down to fill in your name and any other information you would like us to have, letting us know you were in service that week.

Food Pantry -

Jesus said - "You give them something to eat". (Luke 9:13)

“Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food...you will be made rich in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God”. Jesus said, “You feed them.” And so we obey. We fed 24 people so far this last month, 11 people just this last week. This is our local mission to help our own community. Thank you for all you gave through our Fall Family Encouragement Gatherings! Continue with the good work. If you would like to help facilitate this ministry please call Rosie. The pantry is in need of cereal, canned meals like canned Raviolis and Beef Stew, powdered milk, toilet paper, and soups.

January 2012 Prayer Focus  -

Our theme for January is “Maturity”.  Luke 2:52 states, "And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men."  Pray for our efforts as we each strive to become more like Jesus.  Pray that we would seek our strength from the Lord and that we will encourage each other in our work.

Do you Have An Email Address?

The LCCC staff is putting together a list of email addresses of our congregation.  This enables us to send valuable information quickly to you.  Also, we will soon be sending out our monthly news letter via email.  By sending it out using email we can save hundreds of dollars per year on postage.  Please place your email address on the back of a visitor's card, found in the weekly bulletin, or send your email address to Donna Roper.

Check Our Library Out!

Our library has been reorganized and the books are now easier to find.  The procedure for checking a book out remains the same, just write your name on the card found in the back of the book and then file it in the card box.  We ask that you try to return the book within three weeks so others will have a chance to read it.  Happy reading!
